The Aviva Munster Schools Track & Field Championships will take place in CIT on Saturday 19th May 2012.

The year sees the introduction of the Intermediate Girls 1,500m Steeplechase event for the first time. This is scheduled to take place at 11.45am. This is a technically and physically demanding event.

The annual Munster Schools Indoor Athletics will take place on Tuesday 6th March in Nenagh.

Details have been posted to all schools.

Entries on the day – names and dobs – on headed school paper, with entry fee.

Only schools who have affiliated will be allowed to enter – if you have not already affiliated you must pay your affiliation fee of €60 at the time of entry.

The Track & Field season 2012 will see the introduction of the Inter Girls 1,500m Steeplechase.

The format will be identical to Inter Boys, except the barriers will be at the lower height of 762mm (30″).

This event will take place at regional, provincial and national championships.

It is time to (re-)affiliate for 2011/12. Please download the form and send it to the relevant regional contact, with your affiliation fee.

Affiliation covers all events in the calendar year 2012.
